Job Description

As an intern you will be involved in all aspects of our end-to-end process. You will help the team to develop a plan to solve the client’s problems.

Interns work closely with Project Leaders and Partners, and have primary responsibility for understanding the client’s strategic issues and delivering good analyses and documents to senior members of the team. They benefit from wide-ranging opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and experience a variety of strategic business consulting engagements.

Our intern role offers these key opportunities for development and advancement, frequently not available at other consulting firms:

  • Structuring and performing analysis, and conducting primary research, to uncover the insights that support our recommendations to clients
  • Translating data into meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Presenting at team and client meetings, and determining the most practical way to drive lasting results based on your insights working with senior executives: 3H Partners non-hierarchical structure results in frequent interaction between Consultants and senior professionals both within 3H Partners and within the client’s organisation.

In addition, as part of 3H Partners, you will have the opportunity to learn intensively and perform a wide range of entrepreneurial activities:

  • Ensure a good relationship with clients, listen to their challenges and needs.
  • Design and conceptualisation of MVP (Minimum Viable Products), which are early prototypes of Entrepreneurial Solutions
  • Develop methodological skills to search data and gather information.
  • Structure analyses and distil messages on appropriate communication media.

Job Profile

  • Education: Management or Engineering Master Degree
  • Experience: 0.5-1 years
  • Languages: Italian native speaker and fluent in English, other European languages are considered a plus.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; VBA, database and statistical data analysis software are well appreciated. Video and photo editing is considered a plus.
  • Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.

Manufacturing Engineering:

  • Supports Mechanical Component Design by guaranteeing the compatibility between design itself and manufacturing process, technical requirements and evidences evaluation in the technological validation process for all aspects related to materials and special processes
  • Provides support to machine operators for the solution of problems related to the operation of the machine;
  • Supports root cause investigations.

Quality Engineering:

  • Monitors production processes from a quality standpoint to recognize improvement opportunities, and work with stakeholders to identify and implement effective Corrective/Preventive action plans;
  • Promotes the awareness and compliance to the Avio Aero and/or specific Customer requirements;
  • Monitors the quality indicators for the overall process, collect and analyze quality data and take part to the definition and following implementation and monitoring of improvement plans together with Manufacturing Engineer.

Sourcing:

  • Achieves lowest possible cost for materials/services, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs;
  • Interacts with Suppliers in order to achieve Purchase documents acknowledgment;
  • Monitors and expedite Suppliers deliveries to guarantee On Time Delivery.

Fulfillment:

  • Ensures Materials planning and timing;
  • Creates and develops the KPIs reporting through a daily coordination and fulfillment issues.

Lean:

  • Facilitate cross-functional project teams, mini or full Action Work Out (AWO) and single kaizen events in order to progress along the transformation plan;
  • Effective Value stream mapping, wastes detection in manufacturing environment;
  • Drive transformation execution on basics : 5S, SMED;
  • Be GE Aviation Production System (GEAPS) advocate in the cell.
  • Involve shop operators in transformation, with training & kaizen eventsPlease indicate in the application your preference in terms of role.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Materials or Management Engineering from an accredited University or college
  • Outstanding academic achievements – Top 25% class (final grade minimum 104/110 or GPA 3 out of 4)
  • Knowledge of technical drawings
  • English and Italian fluency, written and verbal

JOB PURPOSE

Strategic and proactive procurement of food commodities, goods and services, in partnership with the key supply chain functions to ensure an integrated supply chain approach to meeting the food assistance needs of beneficiaries. Contribution to the achievement of core WFP supply Chain Objectives including efficiency gains and cost savings.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Participate in the development and implementation of country sourcing strategies or specialist procurement initiatives that support effective and cost optimising purchase decisions.
  • Lead the implementation of highly complex procurement projects in COs to ensure successful procurement of food and non-food commodities or services, ensuring a strategic, forward purchasing approach to procurement, following best-practice and in compliance with wider WFP policies, standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all relevant suppliers in order to improve service delivery and resolve supplier related issues.
  • Manage and coordinate effective relationships with inspection and superintendent firms to ensure quality control, specification conformity, volume assessment, monitoring and verification of deliveries.
  • Work in close collaboration with senior cross functional colleagues to align procurement activities and promote an integrated supply-chain approach to food assistance.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely reports of procurement activities to contribute to a WFP wide view that enables informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders leading to performance optimization.
  • Manage or oversee all auditing of procurement activities ensuring recommendations are responded to appropriately to ensure conformity with compliance rules.
  • Lead and motivate a large or highly specialized procurement team providing coaching, training and guidance as required to ensure appropriate development and enable high performance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to WFP staff and external partners and governments, building capacity to take a strategic and proactive approach to the procurement of food and non-food commodities and services.
  • Take responsibility for incorporating gender perspectives in all areas of work, to ensure equal participation of women and men.
  • Contribute to preparedness actions, providing technical recommendations and guidance and monitor the management of procurement specific risks.
  • Act in an assigned emergency response capacity as required to meet emergency food assistance needs.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced University degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Legal or Accounting or other relevant field, or First University degree with an additional relevant work experience and/or training/courses.
  • Language: Fluency (level C) in English language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese

DESIRED EXPERIENCE FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in procurement
  • Experience managing the physical purchase of commodities/goods/services in complex situations (e.g., market evaluations, assessing vendors, evaluating offers and making recommendations).
  • Experience in coordinating supply chain operations (including procurement of food, goods, and services, including budgeting and integrated supply chain planning
  • Experience managing suppliers including but not limited to wholesalers, traders and retailers.
  • Experience supervising medium numbers of staff
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with UN agencies or large international conglomerates
  • Experience in servicing client units or client offices
  • Experience of Vendor Management.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
