Based in our Client Capabilities Center in Wroclaw, Poland, you will be part of McKinsey’s Cleansheet Solution. Our Cleensheet Soution is one of the main digital assets within our Operations Practice and Product Development and Procurement team. Used in over 300 different client engagements last year, and subscribed to by over 20 clients, Cleansheet Solution is looking to launch its next growth wave by expanding its R&D team to target additional industries.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will develop and mature of cost models used by our consulting teams as well as work directly with clients.

In this role you will be highly entrepreneurial, building innovative content in new applications and industry verticals, and expand usage of our Cleansheet solution. You will work with both experts and consulting teams to develop models and progress the Solution’s content roadmap. You will shape the future of the Cleansheet Solution by working closely with the product development team to identify opportunities to improve the software and design key features to improve client experience.

You will gain a deep understanding of the Cleansheet Solution software product and develop new parametric models, involving bespoke research, data engineering, development of costing algorithms, model testing, validation and maintenance.

You will work with experts and consulting teams to develop, test and validate new models in client engagements or through physical models. Moreover, you will increase adoption of by maturing parametric Cleansheet models and data through incorporating feedback from testing/validation and analytics.

You will develop expertise in target industry verticals, becoming a thought partner for consulting teams and clients on Cleansheet modeling.

You will codify new knowledge for future use by the Solution and the practice. Furthermore, you will develop expertise across Cleansheet’s use cases in procurement negotiations and target costing, and assist in proposals and client conversations.

You will help clients capture cost savings using digital sourcing tools.

You will consult these clients as a part of a large and diverse client service team. You will work with a vast variety of clients – up to 1 unique client per month.
You will join the consulting team as a core member responsible in executing portions of the sourcing project plan. You will drive end to end sourcing event strategy, event design, vendor negotiations and savings capture. You will help clients understand basic sourcing optimization terminology and workflow, plan the sourcing process and identify requirements for a relevant outcome using McKinsey best practices. You will provide analytics support to deliver key insights on sourcing projects through use of the configurable reporting tools to assess responses, aggregate data and create negotiation support and business summaries. You will produce high quality results from solution assets. You will also ensure digital procurement assets, vendors and processes adhere to our standards and that client information and data is safeguarded to the utmost level.

Job details:

ISS is seeking a pool of talented and self- motivated research interns for the winter/spring of 2018. Our interns will be assigned to a dynamic regional market (Southern Europe, Benelux, Eastern Europe) and guided by our top experienced analysts.

As a Junior Research Analyst, you will become an integral part of the team with the crucial role of helping deliver data, research and vote recommendations on shareholder meetings of listed companies. The internships coincide with the so-called “proxy voting season”, i.e. when most listed companies convene their annual shareholder meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze governance structures and performance of publicly listed companies and provide investors with the according/appropriate recommendations.
  • Gather data based on information in the company’s public documents.
  • Engage with companies in order to procure additional information.
  • Prepare reports detailing the analyses and explaining why a certain vote recommendation was given.

 Desired qualifications:

  • A relevant master degree in economics, business, finance, law or political sciences or in the process of obtaining such a degree.
  • A prior experience in a relevant area will be considered as an advantage.
  • A strong analytical ability, numeracy, strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to assimilate large quantities of information, work independently and take initiative while also being a team player.
