Market Analysis Intern

The team is in charge of monitoring financial markets (with focus on fixed income and bond markets) and providing the top management with both daily snaps and investment strategies proposals.

Workplace: Rome, Via Tomacelli 146

Key Responsibilities

  • daily monitoring of financial markets (Central Banks monetary policy, bond markets yields, FX, Stocks Exchanges performances)
  • support to provide the manager with intraday updates by means of daily snaps on the current levels of yields and the main daily drivers for interest rates
  • portfolio monitoring with focus on P&L attribution
  • developing and regularly sharing market views
  • providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of the main macro indicators worldwide
  • analyzing investment ideas within the regulation constraints
  • financial models creation to better shape the portfolio in terms of risk/return
  • building investment strategies across the yield curve notch with the goal of contributing to the investment results
  • preparing presentations and meeting packs regarding investment strategy overview

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

The ideal candidate has:

  • bachelor degree or above in Economics, Finance or related disciplines and training in macroeconomics, macro-finance, monetary theory and econometrics
  • strong interest in financial markets
  • skills in analytical and financial modelling
  • minimum 6 months Investment Banking experience will be a plus
  • fluent English (both in verbal presentations & written reports)
  • Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • motivation, curiosity and skill to maintain knowledge of key trends and market drivers
  • being proactive and careful to detail
  • target and objectives motivation, using to dealing with timelines

Operations- Monitoring & Post Trading Department

Il team e’ dedicato ad attivita’ differenti seppur integrate tra loro. E’ responsabile per la sorveglianza di mercato, l’analisi dati, la produzione di report per gli altri dipartimenti, per i partecipanti e le autorita’ di supervisione. Svolge tutte le attivita’ legate alla gestione del database aderenti e prodotti.  Fornisce supporto agli aderenti su questioni regolamentari e e di post trading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raccolta e analisi dati per statistiche, verifiche, studi, offrendo supporto al Tesoro italiano, alla Banca d’Italia, alla BCE, alle Università per analisi dei dati storici e aggregazione periodica di dati statistici
  • Creazione del layout per nuovi report e adattamento ai vari mercati di modelli simili
  • Creazione di nuove sezioni sul web come contenitore dei report giornalieri; gestendo la pubblicazione giornaliera in tempo reale dei dati di riepilogo sul web con la verifica dei dati ricevuti
  • Raccolta dati mensili e trimestrali ai fini di effettuare controlli e riconciliazione
  • Programmazione e controllo delle funzionalità di importazione ed esportazione dei dati anagrafici che alimentano il mercato

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

L’offerta è rivolta a laureandi/neolaureati in Ingegneria Informatica, Informatica con conoscenze di:

  • Sistemi Operativi: Win. (2K Server, 2K8 Server, W7,XP), UNIX/Linux.
  • Reti e protocolli: Reti TCP/IP in ambiente Windows/UNIX. Conoscenza di base dei concetti di routing e switching  e dei protocolli SMTP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS.
  • Software Applicativo: Microsoft Office 2003-2010 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), Antivirus, PDF reader/writer….etc.

Saranno considerate un plus eventuali esperienze in:

  • Gestione di una rete di circa 20 clients fra PC e servers.
  • Configurazione, manutenzione dei sistemi informativi aziendali a livello sistemistico.

Completano il profilo:

  • Ottima conoscenza della lingua inglese.
  • Adeguato grado di maturità e responsabilità, indispensabili per lavorare a contatto con senior managers e clienti.
