IT Governance & Information Security Internship

CC&G, part of London Stock Exchange Group, is the Italian-based provider of risk management, open access clearing and CCP services to a number of national and international markets.

Within the IT department, the candidate will join the IT Governance team, which is responsible to ensure that CC&G’s Information Security and Business Continuity Management Systems operate effectively and continue to be compliant with relevant regulatory requirements, as well as voluntary best practices and standards that add a further badge of excellence among industry players.

The role will require the individual to support the team in carrying out its activities, especially in the field of Information Security, so that CC&G meets its security objectives by identifying, protecting, detecting, and responding to cyber threats against its technology.

Workplace: Rome, Via Tomacelli, 146

 Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of risk, identifying areas of risk exposures and escalating changes as appropriate
  • Analyses and interprets data to provide regular reports / presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Completes routine risk reporting and production of management information to support decision making
  • Support the team to fulfil internal and external audits requests
  • Ensures internal databases and systems are kept up to date
  • Supports the team to deliver risk projects and activities

 Key behaviours and skills required to be successful in the role:

  • BSc / MSc in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Scientific subjects or equivalent
  • Knowledge and passion about IT
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Precision and attention to details
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of IT Governance and Information Security frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001:2013, NIST Framework, ITIL, etc.) would be a plus
  • Financial Services experience / knowledge would be a plus

Duration of the internship: 6 months

Remuneration: 800 €(gross)
