Octo Telematics researches an intern to be included in “Data & Analytics” team.

Octo is looking for quantitative modeling experts with good leadership skills to engage on analytics development activities to support use cases across the telematics space. Her/His activity will be focused on the development, automation, and deployment of analytical models leveraging data acquired and processed via telematics platforms. There are many exciting use cases to engage upon throughout the “Connected Ecosystem”, as Octo grows cross-vertically.

You will have strong modeling skills and comfortable procuring and harmonizing disparate datasets for analytic development purposes. This role will also build tools and deployment mechanisms needed to present findings to business partners to drive better decisions.

Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to manage low level modeling projects, identify requirements, and build methodology and utilize tools to execute with excellence. The Analytics Development team will operate crossfunctionally, so you will have experience collaborating across organizational boundaries.
The candidate must be oriented towards achieving important goals of professional growth. relational skills, predisposition to group work, organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills are fundamental requisites.

Basic knowledge of English language and analytical skills are needed.

Enrolled in Master’s degree in math, statistics, data science, or related field.

Technical Qualifications

Experience with machine-learning algorithms (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, etc.) and their application
Experience with clustered data processing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Map-reduce, and Hive).
Experience with regression modeling, forecasting, and time series analysis.
Experience using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R, etc.).

Your contribution to the mission

Job Title: Account Management Intern

Overwiew

The Account Management Team supports the development, marketing and sale of Mastercard range of products with the largest Italian bank, to achieve specific business goals that jointly drive market share, volume, and revenue growth.
We deliver customized payment solutions and comprehensive consulting support, while leveraging Mastercard’s strong brand, technology, products and services, to generate strong bottom line results to Intesa Sanpaolo.
We are looking for an intern who will work within the team on day to day account management activities, monitoring product performance, developing supporting material and liaising with other Mastercard colleagues in the Marketing, Products, Advisors and Delivery areas.

Role:

Manage autonomously some projects and work streams
Make analysis & presentations to support business reviews with senior internal and external audience
Support marketing initiatives developed by Mastercard for Intesa Sanpaolo
Help the account team in all compliance-related reporting activities
Provide market intelligence on competition, product performance and propose enhancements to help position and sell Mastercard Payment products

All About You

Last year student or recently graduated from “Laurea Magistrale” or Master; ideally in Economics or Management Engineering
Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Open minded and proactive, interested in innovation, capable of working in teams with different levels of seniority and different backgrounds, results oriented, capable of managing projects and deadlines

ALL ABOUT YOU

Excellent analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
English & Italian fluency (verbal and written) is required, additional languages is a plus
Past experience abroad is required (Erasmus, exchange projects, work experience, …)
Well-rounded individual with significant extracurricular involvement
Ability to work on a team and independently
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment combine with attention to details

L’Unità Organizzativa Applicazioni Sistemi di Pagamento ha la responsabilità di supportare le entità di riferimento (business unit, Società del Gruppo, IST, Società o Enti del Movimento, BCC, ecc.) per gli aspetti informatici connessi alle iniziative direttamente o indirettamente riferite ai principali ambiti di competenza quali gli incassi e pagamenti (applicazioni di regolamento, applicazioni della Banca Tramite, ecc.) e l’operatività con l’estero.

In tale ambito cerchiamo un Systems Analyst che fornirà supporto alle attività progettuali dell’Unità Organizzativa.

Nello specifico, si occuperà di:

sviluppo progettuale delle applicazioni in area applicazioni sistemi di pagamento;
gestione della manutenzione evolutiva dei prodotti in uso dal Gruppo Bancario

Requisiti:

Laurea in Ingegneria o Informatica;
precedenti esperienze professionali anche brevi in istituti di credito o società di consulenza informatica, meglio se nell’ambito dei sistemi di pagamento;
conoscenza delle principali infrastrutture dei sistemi di pagamento e servizi nell’ambito AML;
conoscenza degli strumenti di sviluppo e testing;
autonomia nella gestione di servizi applicativi, di attività di change management e incident management;
conoscenza delle architetture software, delle componenti infrastrutturali e delle principali modalità di integrazioni/scambio dati con piattaforme software interne/esterni che concorrono all’erogazione di un servizio applicativo (DBMS, File System, Message Queues, Web Services, Application Server, Web Server);
buona conoscenza della lingua inglese
