In collaboration with the Sherpa Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS) is now recruiting the delegates that in 2026 will join the Italian Delegation of the Youth 20 (Y20), the official engagement group of the G20 for young people.
The Y20 brings together under-30 international leaders, whose work lasts several months throughout the year and culminates in the Y20 Summits where the Final Communique, containing proposals from the young delegates, is finalised and passed on to the Presidents and Heads of State.
In 2026, the Y20 Summit will take place in August in the United States and will focus on the following priority areas:
- Fragility, Conflict and Violence
- Innovation and Digital Transformation
- Global Economy and Labour
- Food Security and Global Health
- Energy
To apply to join the Y20 Italian delegation, among other criteria, candidates must be 18-30 years old; be fluent in English; have volunteer, study, entrepreneurial, or work experience related to at least one of the priority areas; be passionate about the topics of discussion and willing to work in team in a multicultural environment; be able to commit to the work done before and after the Summit.
