Legal and External Affairs Team (LEX) – Internship, Roma

Job purpose and key deliverables

British American Tobacco Italia S.p.A. is seeking a talented and bright intern to join its legal department in Rome. This internship is a structured learning experience that combine in-class theory with real-world applications, while being supported  by an experienced team of professionals.

This internship is in our Legal and External Affairs Team (LEX) is a great opportunity to learn and get fully involved in a multi-cultural, open environment.

As an intern in our department, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic topics as well as operational tasks right from the beginning, and be part of a dynamic team contributing to the business results.

The work would include supporting the legal team in its day to day operations including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with general administrative matters
  • Assisting with maintenance of documentation, spreadsheets and legal databases
  • Report generation
  • Document collation
  • Assisting in-house lawyers with contract preparation, negotiation and arrangements for execution across all business areas
  • Legal research
  • Liaising with external counsel
  • Assisting with various legal projects as required
  • The review and creation of legal documents
  • Preparing statutory and corporate filings

Job purpose and key deliverables

  • Execute the planned sales visits, in order to ensure regular coverage of territory based and manage the orders;
  • Execute the Brand & Trade Marketing activities according to priorities and agreed timelines and internal policy at store level;
  • Minimize out of stocks through ensuring sufficient stock level maintained in store;
  • Manage the assigned budget and the designed tools and merchandising materials aimed to support BAT product sales according to rules and procedures;
  • Implement Trade programmes and merchandising recommendation in POS (Position, Communication);
  • Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on activities performed: ensure all retail data and information;
  • You will be required to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders so you will need to have strong networking capabilities together with the ability to create new opportunities;
  • It is critical you have excellent people skills, can embrace communicate and manage change, and have an ability to successfully facilitate a coaching culture;
  • Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience in a FMCG sales environment and a Marketing or business related tertiary qualification would be highly desirable.

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor degree or Master Degree
  • Full mobility
  • Fluent in both Italian and English
  • Good knowledge in MS Office
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Adaptability
  • Organizational capabilities
