Area description
The “Planning, Finance and Administration” (PFA) department’s mission is to:
maximize the return on capital employed and growth over time, encouraging the Group’s responsibility centers to reach the preset goals;
provide support for Business managers as they formulate their M&A proposals and for the related implementation, coordinating the entire execution phase.
ensure the Group’s assets & liabilities balance, the economic and financial sustainability of the Group’s growth policies for the loan market and appropriate liquidity levels, according to limits defined by the relevant bodies.
Function description
Group Strategy and Corporate Foresight Unit, within the Strategy, Business Development and M&A Department and under Strategy & Finance Competence Line, aims at coordinating all strategic activities which support Top Management, in terms of definition of Group Business portfolio, as for diversification, expected value creation and capital absorption. It cooperates with other relevant Planning, Finance & Administration (PF&A) Competence Line structures, in order to support Top Management in defining Group strategic goals, including the so called “Group Ambitions” that are part of the Budget and Strategic Planning process, also through strategic benchmarking on performances (balance sheet / P&L) activities and banking sector analyses.
Strategy and Corporate Foresight Unit also supports both the Top Management and the Heads of Divisions / Business Functions in creation and implementation of their proposal concerning strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.
Strategy and Corporate Foresight Unit, within UniCredit Group, has the purpose to manage and evaluate the competitiveness of the Group vs peers and in the Banking sector.
Job description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comparison of UniCredit Group performance with its main European competitors
- Banking balance sheet analysis and reclassification of extraordinary events which could affect specific trends
- Deep-dive on specific banking business sectors to develop spot analysis for Top Management
