OpenEconomics originates as a spin-off of a team of Italian researchers from the Department of Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, which later joined an international group of professionals with a common experience with the World Bank and other multilateral organizations.
The company assists private companies and public administrations in evaluating the social, economic and environmental impacts of investment policies, programs and projects, and structuring blended finance tools to support development and climate change related projects in emerging and developing countries.
The company integrates scientific and economic skills with an in-depth knowledge of juridical frameworks and programming mechanisms of both local and multilateral financial institutions.
The team, led by Professor Scandizzo, has a solid experience in evaluating complex projects, developed as advisor to World Bank, FAO, UNIDO, IFAD, National Governments, Enel, Eni and Terna.
