Role Purpose:
We are looking for a bright candidate who will be part of the Data & Analytics Team. The ideal person is a Junior System Administrator with solid technical background and a strong passion for Business Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular performance testing and tuning
- Manage storage space and memory
- Create and optimize physical tables and partitions
- Manage user accounts and access privileges
- BI software management include applying patch and upgrade
- Analyze usage patterns and downtime
- Log technical action reports
- Maintain and develop database infrastructures for use for company operations
- Create automated reporting structures through the use of business intelligence tooling or SSIS
- Perform ad-hoc query request for various departments
- Utilize ETL processes for integrating data across various databases for BI systems
- Write SSIS processes for process improvement
- Document configuration and integration with applications and network resources
Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 year-experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of SQL Server Architecture, such as objects, schemas, system databases, SQL Services, SQL Agent, etc.
- SQL language and scripting
- Basic Knowledge of SQL Server backup / restore and other maintenance strategies
- Knowledge of SQL Server security
- Knowledge of OLAP environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft’s BI solutions
- Basic knowledge of networking systems and servers
- Curiosity and the ability to identify and propose new tools and approaches
- Good knowledge of both English and Italian languages
