You will join Hitachi ABB Power Grids, located in Santa Palomba. You will support the operational excellence with focus on Logistics and warehouse participating in the Supply chain process for running projects across the unit. As a Logistics and Warehouse Intern, you will be working in cooperation with different corporate functions to grow your skillset experiencing the Supply Chain Planning, Transportation and Logistics of a leading player in the Energy Industry

Your responsibilities

  • In this role, your main accountabilities will be to actively support the execution of Logistics operations for projects in order to ensure objective achievement in terms of cost/budget, schedule and supply quality;
  • Maintain a primary interface with Project Manager, project team, category teams, and, as required, the customer regarding all Procurement & Logistics (PL) matters.
  • Actively support the execution warehousing operations including packing and storage, replenishment, picking, loading and dispatching are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner.;
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Your background

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Economics or Management Engineering with basic knowledge of Logistics and Trade practices.
  • Good Knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP will be considered a plus;
  • Good written and verbal English (B2/C1);
  • Complete the profile a marked proactivity, problem solving capability and a great sense of organization.

The Project Execution team are at the heart of our organization, meeting and exceeding customer expectations while helping to build a sustainable and profitable future. You will provide support on engineering activities such as the configuration of protection system tools and control systems within the Grid Automation Systems.

Your responsibilities

  • Performs basic survey work, standard computations, analysis and basic design tasks. Collects data and supports production of the engineering design (e.g. creates drafts for the Project Engineer to approve).
  • Assists other engineers (preparation of permit applications, testing, drawings, computer aided design work, etc.). Exercises judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods.
  • Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.
  • Supports risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Documents and handles technical risks according to mitigation guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain function, reviews vendor documentation, supports preparation of RFQs, evaluation of proposals, maintaining the execution of projects, etc.
  • Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Reports process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.

Your background

  • Master’s degree in Electrical engineering/Electrical Machines or Automation.
  • Fluent in both English and Italian.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (IEC 61850 – IEC 870.5.104) will be a plus.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
